REFLECTIONS FOR DAILY PRAYER
Reflections for Daily Prayer Advent 2008 to 2 Before Lent 2009

Reflections for Daily Prayer is a quarterly series designed to refresh and enhance your spiritual journey through the rich landscape of the Church's year.

Covering Monday to Saturday each week, it offers stimulating and accessible reflections from a variety of respected authors, on a reading selected from the Common Worship Weekday Lectionary.

Each day includes:

  • Full lectionary details for Morning Prayer
  • A reflection on one of the Bible readings
  • A Collect for the day

Reflections for Daily Prayer features new contributions from popular writers, experienced ministers, biblical scholars and theologians, combining creative insight with high levels of scholarship.

Ideal as an accompaniment to Common Worship: Daily Prayer and Time to Pray, this unique series is for anyone who values both the companionship of daily Bible notes and the structure of the lectionary.

The following five reflections will give you a taster of the series:

Genesis - Jane Williams

Ecclesiastes - Steven Croft

Matthew - Stephen Cottrell

Hebrews - Lucy Winkett

Colossians - Paula Gooder

All of these sample reflections open as PDF files using free Acrobat Reader software.
